Kearney Township Board Meeting

 

Meeting called to order at 7:00pm.

Pledge of allegiance.

Roll call:  present- Niepoth, Fleet, Kotz, Hagood and Petrie.  Absent-0-.

No conflict of interest was noted.

Motion by Fleet supported by Niepoth to approve the agenda with the addition of item c. under new business (letter from the Bellaire Police Department), carried.

Motion by Hagood supported by Niepoth to approve last month’s minutes as presented, carried.

Motion by Fleet supported by Hagood to approve payment of the bills as presented, carried.

Public Comment time was given.

The Supervisor has contacted Tom Puckett about maintenance for the furnaces at the hall.

The Village of Bellaire requested that we help pay for paving Bridge Lane at a cost of $47,000.  The board reviewed the request but will make no decision at this time.

The board received a notice that SRW is closing the gas well on Township property.

The Bellaire Police department sent the board a letter about possible vandalism at Flewelling Cemetery where a  headstone was struck by a vehicle and knocked down. The board is looking into putting up a fence to keep motorists from driving at random in the cemetery.

Public comment time was given.
